Our Summer Vacation - Day 6

We are up and ready to explore some parts of Pennsylvania!

Sam, started out by getting dressed and had some trouble getting his shirt on, I wonder why? Can you see? If, you noticed – he put his head inside the arm sleeve and his one arm inside the head hole.

We saw in our travels a Christmas tree farm and I couldn’t get the camera out fast enough to take the picture. But I’m sure to get a few before we leave here. So we drove to see what Reading had to offer…they had an outlet called VF (Vanity Fair), pretty neat but I thought was very small. Todd, got 2 shirts and I got 2 pair of capri’s. I wanted to get Sam a t-shirt that I would never have let him wear, but they were pretty funny. Had to do with school rules and such, we laughed at them. Gosh I wish I got one just one for him. Check out the inside of this elevator!! Think it's big enough?

this tree was right outside the VF mall

So here are a few pictures from the Reading area…

We then took off for Intercourse, go figure a town name called *Intercourse* I knew that Sam would question that and why it was so funny. But being that he knows about sex now and has read a book, I explained to him why it was so funny. He is going into the 5th grade, and the first thing I want is for someone else to teach my child about sex. I have a dear friend who is a Principle of a school and she said believe her, it’s not too late to teach him now, because kids talk and her children know the real truth.

So, here are a few pictures of Intercourse and the Amish people riding around in their buggy’s.

this was too funny, we're heading to Intercourse and our GPS said we're heading to Blue Ball...I guess they go together..lol.

look honey, there is a person with a camera - smile and say cheese!!

would you look at the size of this HORSE!! His head is taller then the buggy itself, and where in earth is this lady sitting?

this poor horse is getting his work out!

I will also say that I really like Pennsylvania’s street signs. I think Florida could use these as well. I think all states should have them if they don’t already. Our drivers in Florida are very rude when it comes to the road. The people in PA drive with good common sense, they really do. If, I were to rate them on a scale from 1-10 and 10 being the best, I will give them an 8. They don’t speed up so that you can’t get over, and they let you over if you have a turn signal on…Florida NOT!!! And they do use BLINKERS here!! Amazing how that little thing in everyone’s car works, but not in Florida. I’m a blinker kind of girl. I like PA – it’s nice, it’s beautiful and the people are some what nice, not all.

I love this sign, Don't tailgate...I had more but I have no clue what happen to them. I had some that said "Share The Road", "Drive Slow and Save a Life" and I can't remember what the others said, that sucks. I guess I need to re-take those? hummmm.

The end of the day ended with us eating dinner at the Trolley Restaurant right here. And we topped it off with and ice cream from Friendly’s down the street.

Sam, was really happy with this place, the lady gave him a child's menu - are you kidding me!! We told Sam he could get one of the adult one..he was happy to see the end result come out.
