Leaving Maryland

Just before Sam and I departed...I had my little nephew on the phone with Uncle Todd. Todd, has never met Adien - I thought he was just too cute.

Baltimore trip Day 4

The entire time in Maryland, it was just relaxing. No running all over the place, just having family come by and visit as we stayed put. Having to drive 19.5 up, I wasn't up for doing anymore. I left my car parked the entire time.

My niece came up with the idea that we should all go out to BINGO like old times. But the thing was Sam and I were leaving on Sunday morning. Instead Sam wanted to stay a few more days, so that's what lead to the bingo night. We had a blast as always, and it's been years for me. My younger sister in the green shirt yelled on the very last game and won $100. she never wins.

So, now that that was over, it was time for bed as Sam and I were leaving no later then 9:45a Monday morning. I left at that hour because I didn't want to get caught up in that DC traffic.

Baltimore trip Day 3

It was a very hot day for a day at the park!! But we needed to get the boys out running around. Afterwards, I had my niece on a man-hunt to find my favorite snowball stand. It was Sam's very first snowball and he absolutely loved it!!

Baltimore trip Day 2

This is our tupperware day!! My Aunt Joan and Brother Bernie came by to see me, they were not coming to the party. I took other pictures of 2 more of my nieces, but they didn't download, it's like they just got lost, weird. My party was great - made it worth the trip going up...more so to see all the family members who took the time out to visit us. Sam, can't be around animals and everyone in the family has either a dog or cat or both.

I also was hoping that my best friend of 34 years would have taken the time out to come see us, but with her it was one excuse after another as to why she couldn't come. I especially love the reasons:::

1) she doesn't know where my niece lives!! hummm I told her by phone and I even emailed her husband her address about 10 days before we left. I also told her to have her husband drive her to the area and show her where she lived.

2) she lives too far! WHAT? Sam and I drove a total of 2,231 miles and that's not far at all is it? My niece lives 12.9 miles away according to my Microsoft streets and it would take her all by 21 minutes to get there. Then she said

3) there are too many turns, are you freaking kidding me? I was on one road the whole time, it's not like my car jumped hoops, it went from I75 to I10 then I95. On the way back, almost the same route minus I10 - I did I4. What does she mean by too many turns? It was one excuse after another.

Check out my post dated March 27th, 2010!!!

Yeah, my dear Husband, Son and myself drove 3 hrs one way to visit her and her husband when they came into our State for a mini vacation on the other coast!! Stayed for 2 hrs and drove back..I went out of my way by doing 6 hrs of driving and she couldn't drive to my nieces?

She kept saying over and over again, it was a really bad weekend, she was busy, real busy. Busy enough not to come visit her best friend? I was there 6 days, how many days are in a weekend? All I will say, is NEVER again will I EVER go out of my way!!

Baltimore trip Day 1

Sam and I left home on Tuesday the 8th for our journey to Baltimore, Maryland. My entire family live there and my 2 older nieces agreed to doing a Tupperware party. So we started out our drive at 2pm and stopped in Hardeeville, SC. We picked up from there in the early morning hours and drove to Maryland. According to our GPS we should have arrived at 5:30p but didn't get there until 8:30..I was not a happy camper.

For some odd dumb reason, I took a tour downtown the inner harbor and wouldn't you know it, a base ball game was going to be happening...traffic was everywhere, in front, on the side, behind me all over the darn place. When I set my GPS - I told it to avoid tolls, why? I don't know, maybe because I knew there were none to go by. My niece said that's why it took so long.

Pictured here: Me getting kissing from both my little Great Nephews...this is the first time seeing me. From left to right on the bottom is my niece Patricia, she put Sam and I up for 6 days. Then we have my 1st great niece Emily she's 11. My Jessica who's due any day now, but not really due until the 17th of July. Then we have myself with Adien and my nephew Adam (16)
